What is an Armoured Joint?

Technically known as Concrete Floor Joint Connectors, Armoured Joints utilize welded studs or bent galvanized steel plates on both sides to provide shear resistance, positioning, and anchoring within the concrete. They form a permanent metal edge protection at the surface, preventing fragile concrete edges and corners from being damaged or spalling during long-term operational use.

Install joints horizontally across high-traffic aisles.
Maintain floor slab aspect ratio below 1:1.5.
Isolate loading docks (platforms) from main floor using armoured joints.
Isolate from building structures (walls/columns) using dedicated joints.
Remove all support rebars before pouring the adjacent side.
